Adjusting the Iojo

Adjusting the Iojo is easy. It is usually necessary to adjust the Iojo only once to accommodate your chair height and the way you hold your cello. Minor adjustments may be necessary later to accommodate different chair heights.

These adjustments may be made at any time.

There is a stopper or round pin on the top of the Iojo which controls the cord length.
Pull on the end of the cord sticking out of the stopper to pop it upwards.
Hold the stopper in one hand and pull the cord end until you have the Iojo placed where you want it.
Put the stopper back in the hole and the cord will be anchored at the proper location.
Once you have established a comfortable placement for the Iojo, excess cord can be removed to make it slightly easier to rewind. Be sure to leave 15-20 cm (6 to 8 inches) for safety when using other chairs.
Cut off the excess cord and melt the end of cord with a match or lighter so that it will not fray.
Reassembling the pieces will be easier.
